Nike has released the full length version of “Write the Future” and it is probably the most ambitious, most cinematic World Cup promo in history. Good stuff.

NIKE: WRITE THE FUTURE – FULL LENGTH
Thursday, May 20th, 2010THE TALK OF ENGLAND
Sunday, May 9th, 2010by Marc Roseblade
After defeating Machester City to finish 4th in the Prem, Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp wants to sign Spain’s veteran striker Raul from Real Madrid in a bid to strengthen Spurs’ Champions League chances. Spurs will also sign Craig Bellamy in a £6million deal after he fell out with Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.
Roberto Mancini is set to stay at Manchester City, though the owners are seeking to acquire England boss Fabio Capello in 2012.
Fabio Capello has made it clear that he will exclude Rio Ferdinand from the World Cup roster if the captain is unfit. Carragher, King, and Terry have all been penciled in to join the 23-man squad. Capello’s provisional 30-man World Cup roster will also include Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.
Fulham may invite Steven Sidwell to Craven Cottage after the midfielder was (basically) laid-off by Aston Villa. Villa are also eager to sign Croatia coach Slaven Bilic should current coach Martin O’neill depart.
Aware of O’neill’s failed relationships at Aston Villa, Liverpool is courting the Irishman to replace current manager Rafa Benitez.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are eager to sign Fernando Torres away from Liverpool. In other City news, goalkeeper Shay Given is expected to return from his shoulder injury in time for the start of Ireland’s Euro 2012 qualifying campaign in September.
PREMIER LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS: WOLVERHAMPTON vs MAN UNITED
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009
Wolves fans are calling out for a refund on their tickets to yesterday’s match. Wolves coach McCarthy made the odd decision to replace his entire starting line (aside from US goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann) from the upset win against Tottenham. You are looking at second string Wolves against Man United’s best.
It was a 3-0 thrashing in United’s favor. McCarthy’s explanation is that he wanted to conserve top players for the weekend. In all fairness, Bolton is next and Wolves need to be their best against mid-tier opponents. Conceding games to league-leaders is sometimes necessary for clubs on the brink of relegation. Wolves can avoid demotion if they stay focused.

CLUB WORLD CUP VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: ESTUDIANTES vs POHANG STEELERS
Tuesday, December 15th, 2009
Pohang Steelers were eliminated today in a 2-1 loss to Argentina’s Estudiantes de la Plata. The Korean squad was reduced to 8 men after 6 yellow cards and 3 reds had been issued by a now-unpopular ref.
While FC Barcelona are favorites to win the tournament, Estudiantes Manager Alejandro Sabella is confident that his boys can give the Spanish squad a run for their money. With Messi, Ibra, Xavi, and Iniesta all in peak health, it will take an act of god to stop the Blaugrana (if they can beat Atlante and make to the finals, that is).
PREMIER LEAGUE VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: RED DEVILS FALL TO ASTON VILLA
Sunday, December 13th, 2009
Yesterday’s big upsets in the premiership had something in common. United lost to Villa on a header from Gabby Agbonlahor. Wolves overcame Tottenham with a Kevin Doyle Header.
United fans have to wonder why Sir Alex kept a fire-hot Michael Owen out of United’s starting XI. It was the first loss of the season at Old Trafford. A win would have put the Red Devils in line with Chelsea.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM CHELSEA vs MAN CITY
Sunday, December 6th, 2009Carlos Tevez is a hero in city of Manchester, not only among City supporters but also among the Red Devils who (until yesterday) had nothing but ill-will toward their former striker. Sweet Irony! Chelsea is officially beatable. United is officially back in the running for a top-of-the-table finish. City is, well, a team.
CHARLIE DAVIES TO GIVE UPDATE ON FITNESS TOMORROW
Thursday, December 3rd, 2009
Charlie Davies was catapulted onto the global football scene in ‘08 with critical goals scored throughout international competition. A stellar qualifying run was cut short on October 13th, 2009, when a car crash left Davies in critical condition. Another passenger lost her life.
Since being released from the hospital in November, Davies has been at a rehab facility in Delaware, working to regain his strength. A badly broken leg, a broken elbow, and a lacerated bladder could have easily taken him out of the game for life, though Charlie is hell-bent on getting back in the game. In an interview with ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap, scheduled to air on December 4th, Davies makes clear that he intends to play in South Africa.
We also learned that Davies has been training with teammate Oguchi Onyewu (also injured) at the same Delaware facility. If these guys can get fit, the US squad will have a fighting chance.
ONELOVE salutes Charlie Davies on making a remarkable recovery. Keep up the hard work!
