CHELSEA BRILLIANT IN 7-0 STOKE SWEEP

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

Salomon Kalou took the Blues ahead with 2 scrappy goals, finishing some incredible work by Lampard at midfield. And that was just the beginning. Chelsea showed us all what a #1 team is meant to do. Reflecting on the win, Kalou told a reporter: “I’m glad that I got my first hat-trick, because it shows that I can be in the first XI and I try to push the manager to give me a place.”

With all respect to Stoke City and everything they’ve accomplished this season, they were completely outclassed. Check out highlights.

PREMIER LEAGUE VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: WEST HAM vs CHELSEA

This was a great performance from West Ham, despite a wrongly judged penalty that saw Frank Lampard equalize from 12 yards.  It ended at 1-1. Chelsea lucked out and it became perfectly clear that West Ham is bound for a huge comeback in the new year.

Without Michael Essien, Chelsea is simply NOT the team they have been all season.

THE GENIUS OF MICHAEL ESSIEN

Earlier today, the blues treated Wolverhampton to a 4-0 lesson in pure football. With Lampard and Ballack out at Chelsea, Michael Essien and Florent Malouda inherited more responsibility all over the field. While Malouda made a serious impact, Essien was brilliant. The Ghanaian had two goals and was central to almost every key play throughout the game. Even Chelsea-haters had to appreciate the quality of today’s performance.

We want to see Arsenal find their balance. We are thinking this may not be the year for Liverpool, City, or Tottenham, and while We have a new-found respect for a post-Ronaldo Man United, there is no real match for an in-form Chelsea. They have no weaknesses and they exceed in all areas of the game. This squad could win the league for another two years without making a single change.
